PSYCHOLOGIST
Early Intervention in Psychosis Program - Full-time
HOTEL DIEU HOSPITAL
As a skilled member of an interdisciplinary team, you will focus on the assessment,
treatment and rehabilitation of persons experiencing a first episode of psychosis.This
will include clinical interviewing, psychological assessment and treatment recommendations/counselling.
As well, you will contribute to the clinical diagnosis of mental and emotional disorders of referred patients, prepare assessment reports and related clinical summaries, and provide individual counselling, particularly in the area of cognitive behavioural treatment. Participating in quality management and program evaluation activities in collaboration with all members of the Program is also a prerequisite.
A Ph.D.in Psychology is required along with current certification of permanent registration as a psychologist with the Ontario College of Psychologists. Able to provide cognitive behavioural therapy, you have a background conducting psychological assessments focused upon early intervention in psychosis in accordance with current evidenced-based best practices.
Your expertise counselling individuals or groups is combined with a background practicing in a community mental health program and demonstrated knowledge of, skills in and the ability to deal with clients who have severe mental illness.
You must have a valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle (with compensation per hospital policy).
